Preparing your product for market

WINNIPEG – Approximately 90 per cent of new food products fail at retail. This could be because of the basic characteristics of the product such as taste or shelf life, however, often this is associated with positioning, service elements and partnership imperatives. Module 6: Product Development: Are You Market Ready? is designed to provide participants with a detailed assessment of their “Market Readiness” from a product, service and business perspective. Module 6 will take place on March 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Value Chain Manitoba Initiative workshop will be video conferenced from the host site, which will be the Norquay Building, Room 913, 401 York Avenue in Winnipeg, to Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives (MAFRI) GO offices across the province including: Arborg, Beausejour, Brandon, Carberry, Carman, Russell, Somerset, Souris, Teulon and The Pas. The workshop will also be available via video conference in these other communities: Dauphin, Flin Flon, St. Pierre-Jolys, Swan River and Winkler. For specific locations please visit the VCMI website. Registration is free and registration forms can be found on the VCMI website, www.valuechainmb.ca.
