Executive Director wins national scholarshipManitoba Rural Adaptation Council executive director Ted Eastley has been awarded the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) 2009 National Conference Scholarship, sponsored by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. Eastley will be recognized at the CSAE National Conference in Toronto from Nov. 25 to 27.
As a new CSAE member, Eastley was eligible to receive this year’s scholarship. Seven scholarships are awarded annually and Eastley was selected as the Manitoba recipient.
Eastley was chosen for the scholarship based on his exemplary achievements. He was raised on a fourth generation family farm in rural Manitoba. He has several years of experience in agriculture as a producer (grains, oilseeds, forages, and purebred and commercial cattle) and as a private consultant. Prior to joining MRAC as executive director in June 2008, Eastley held various positions at the Assiniboine Community College (ACC) in Brandon, Man. During his time there he participated on numerous projects, committees and boards locally, nationally and internationally.
