Project Objectives:
To address the need to develop new technologies for conversion of waste biomass residues to usable energy that will both displace fossil fuel consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Project Description:
This project will advance a GHG-free conversion technology capable of generating renewable hydrogen (H2) from by-products produced by cellulosic and grain based ethanol production and biodiesel-derived glycerol. In addition to optimizing conversion processes, the project will identify MB-produced feedstocks best suited for H2 production and provide the necessary data to support development of a pilot scale demonstration of the technology.
