Project Description
This project will determine the need for, measure the feasibility of, and develop a business plan for a not-for-profit business that would create credibility for the statements by food manufacturers about where the ingredients in a food product come from, thus satisfying consumer information needs and increasing sales of Manitoba/Canadian food ingredients and products.
Project Objectives
To assess the establishment of an ingredient source traceability certification program enabling consumers to trace product ingredients of retail food products.
