This project will produce a commercial-grade tree-free paper prototype composed of Manitoba agricultural fibre with the intent of securing conditional contracts of purchase from major paper buyers throughout Canada, Europe and the U.S.

Peformance Story

Technical assessments conducted by Wardrop Engineering, Tom Rymsza and the Alberta Research Council all determined PPP has developed a prototype that met the specifications determined at the beginning of this phase; an 8.5” X 11” cut sheet made of entirely Manitoba agricultural fibres without any significant unanticipated factors. The prototype sheet developed meets and exceeds industry standards for virgin source bleach paper and post-consumer blends.  PPP may use the support it received from its consortium members and third party stakeholders for marketing and PR purposes. Ten letters of intent from buyers have been secured.
